After recently returning from injury; Rafael is now determined to break back into the first team, starting with Liverpool this weekend.

Rafael played just three minutes in United’s 3-0 win against Tottenham on Sunday but will be hoping he gets more playing time against a Liverpool side who he has fond memories of. The 24 year old scored a lovely left footed goal against the same side in 2012.

“I hope I can do it again,” Rafael told manutd.com.” Maybe with my left foot again!”

Rafael also believes the comprehensive victory against Tottenham will give the whole team confidence ahead of the trip to Merseyside.

“It is always tough to play there at Anfield, but I think it is very good to get this result before that game.”
