Rafael played his first game for Manchester United since January 4th as he made a brief cameo against Tottenham on Sunday.
The right back fractured his cheekbone in a FA Cup match against Yeovil Town and has been out ever since. With Antonio Valencia struggling at right back in recent games Rafael might well have the chance to stake his first team spot soon.
“It was very good for me and it was also very important for me, to come into the game and play for the first-team again,” Rafael told ManUtd.com, “I just want to be involved now. Of course, it was good to play. Training has been fantastic as well. Now I just want to be involved with the team and if I get a chance, then I want to play well.”
