Forward Luiz Adriano does not expect Shakhtar Donetsk to be intimidated when they face Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

The Hirnyky held their illustrious opponents to a 0-0 draw at Arena Lviv in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash and can now progress with a win or even just a score draw.

With Bayern yet to lose at home so far this season, securing the result they need will not be straightforward for Shakhtar.

Adriano believes however, that they can cope with the pressure and atmosphere that comes with playing at Allianz Arena and is confident that their desired outcome is achievable.

“We are used to playing at the stadiums of this level,” he said, as reported by Shakhtar’s official website.

“Of course, playing in front of our fans is much easier. But it is still important to ignore the shouts in tomorrow’s showdown. Especially as the meeting itself will be interesting. Again, it’s important for us to prove ourselves and win!”

Shakhtar come into the tie on the back of a 2-2 draw against Metalist Kharkiv in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Adriano, who netted in that match, is currently the top scorer in this season’s UEFA Champions League, with a return of nine goals in six appearances.
