Robinho has admitted he is delighted to have earned a recall to the Brazil national team.

The 31 year-old, who has been capped 95 times, is in the squad for the upcoming friendlies against Chile and France and believes his form with Santos has secured his place.

“I am very happy. I have to thank God, my family and my Santos teammates. I’m ready. Now I can’t wait to get there and represent my country,” he told Globo.

“I think my good form here at Santos was key. I’m playing well and I was able to make a good preseason.

“Now, I have to continue what I’m doing. The goals also earn attention. A forward always has to be scoring.”
