Liverpool legend Ronnie Whelan slams Philippe Coutinho
Ex-Liverpool star Ronnie Whelan reckons the Samba star loses the ball too often to be the Reds' main playmaker.
But Whelan, who won six league titles and three FA Cups among other trophies during his 16-year spell on Merseyside, was quoted in Daily Star: "I am more than a bit concerned with the move to make Coutinho the man who is going to save Liverpool as some, including Rodgers, seem to believe. He is gifted with some fabulous skills and he is developing a handy habit of scoring important goals. But I'm not fully sold on this lad. At least not yet. My problem with Coutinho is his inconsistency and the amount of times he gives away possession."
