QPR have been handed a boost with the news that Sandro will not be banned for the first team despite a red card earlier in the week.

Sandro was playing in an under 21 match in order to regain full fitness when he grabbed the throat of Bristol City’s Jake Andrews. Sandro was angry at Andrews’ tackle and his retaliation resulted in a red card.

It was feared the card would result in a three match ban to further delay his comeback but this has been dismissed.

Manager Chris Ramsey will be relieved but also angry that a senior player could act so childishly.
