Former Arsenal player Ray Parlour has named the player who he thinks will be the most vital for Chelsea at the weekend and it is a suprise choice.
Chelsea face Tottenham in the Carling Cup final on Sunday and according to Parlour it is Ramires who will be vital for the men in blue.
Chelsea suffered a big blow to their hopes last weekend after Nemanja Matić received a red card which ruled him out of Sunday’s final. John Obi Mikel would seem the most obvious replacement but Parlour thinks Ramires is up to the job.
“It’s a blow for them to be missing Matic, but they have cover – I think Ramires is going to be a vital player for them,” said Parlour.
Ramires struggled in the first half of the season through injury but has been in excellent form in the last few weeks.
