Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has admitted that Juventus have shown an interest in signing him.
The 19 year-old, who was born in Belgium, but has represented Brazil at under-20 level, is out of contract in June and seems unlikely to agree renewed terms.
With the opportunity available to pick him up on a free transfer, a number of clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, are reportedly keen to secure an agreement.
Pereira notes however, that a move to Juventus, where he would join former team-mate and “good friend” Paul Pogba, is a possibility.
“Everyone knows that Juve are a great club,” he reportedly told Tuttosport, as cited by website Football Italia.
“I’ve spoken with Pogba many times, he’s a good friend and he told me I’d be well-served in moving to Turin, both personally and professionally, two important things for me.
“My agent is evaluating the offers we’ve received, including the Bianconeri, it’s not a secret.”
Pereira was signed by Manchester United from PSV in January 2012. The Duffel native has featured just once in the first-team – a 4-0 League Cup defeat to Milton Keynes Dons – but has scored five goals in 31 appearances for United’s under-21 team.
