Fluminense forward Fred has insisted he is not thinking about a return to the Brazil national team, despite his good recent form.

The 31 year-old, who has been capped 39 times, was thought to have retired from international football after a disappointing 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Following his good form in the Brasileirão and this year"s Campeonato Carioca however, there have been suggestions that he may come back.

Fred insists to the contrary though, that he is only focused on Fluminense.

“Honestly, returning to the national team is no longer something I think about it. I am concentrating solely on [club football] here at Fluminense," he told Radio Globo.
