It’s starting to look like Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal doesn’t fancy the Brazilian full-back.
Rafael has suffered two groin injuries and a fractured cheekbone since the summer. He started the last three under-21 games, but hasn’t started in the Premier League since the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford on October 26. Although the 24-year-old is a fan favorite at the English club, most of the signs indicate that it’d be extremely hard to see him start regularly for Manchester United like he used to before the arrival of the Dutch manager. Van Gaal also spoke to the club’s official website that teenager Paddy McNair, predominantly a central-defender, can be their full-back for the next 10 years.
