Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano is ready to challenge himself in Europe’s biggest leagues.
The 27-year-old made Champions League history in this year’s competition as he finished the group stages with nine goals. Five of those came in one match against BATE, and he became only the second player ever to achieve that feat, along with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. That irresistible form also saw him gain international recognition with new Brazil coach Dunga calling him up for friendlies against Turkey and Austria last November. He told MARCA: “I’ve made history at Shakhtar. It would be a new challenge now to play in one of the big leagues; Italy, Spain, France or England. Playing in Ukraine is marvellous, I have learned so much here, but I like new challenges.”
