Internazionale have contacted Fluminense to try and secure a deal for forward Kenedy, according to reports.

Sport Italia, as cited by website Forza Italian Football, claims that Inter officials spoke to their Fluminense counterparts over recent days and are confident of finding an agreement with them to bring Kenedy to Milan in the summer.

The report suggests that Inter are hoping to pay around €7 million plus bonuses for the 19 year-old, who netted once for Brazil’s under-20 side at the recent South American Youth Football Championship.

Kenedy broke into the Fluminense first-team during the 2013 season and made nine appearances in the Brasileirão. He followed that up with two goals in 20 appearances last term.

Kenedy’s current contract with Fluminense runs until December 2018, but despite the length of that deal giving them protection over his immediate future, it seems that Inter are in a reasonably strong position, as they look to take the teenager to Europe.
