Goalkeeper Rafael Cabral was at fault for Achraf Lazaar’s opener, as Napoli lost 3-1 at Stadio Comunale Renzo Barbera to Palermo. Midfielder Jorginho played 90 minutes and was yellow carded, while Henrique was an unused substitute. Palermo defender Emerson also suffered the same fate.

La Liga

Left full-back Edimar played 90 minutes in Cordoba’s 3-0 loss at Sevilla, while Marcelo did likewise as Real Madrid beat Deportivo 2-0. Midfielder Lucas Silva also made his Los Blancos debut in that tie, replacing Asier Illarramendi on 71 minutes.

At La Rosaleda, defender Weligton played the whole of Málaga’s 2-0 defeat to Espanyol. 

Bundesliga

Defender Naldo netted VfL Wolfsburg’s second, as they beat Bayer Leverkusen 5-4. Midfielder Luiz Gustavo also featured.

Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Raffael was replaced after 82 minutes by Branimir Hrgota as they beat 1. FC Köln 1-0, while Roberto Firmino played 90 minutes in TSG 1899 Hoffenheim’s win over VfB Stuttgart.

Elsewhere, Caiuby came on as a 58th minute substitute in FC Augsburg’s 3-2 loss at Werder Bremen, Dante was an unused substitute for Bayern Munich’s 8-0 win over Hamburger SV, while Lucas Piazon came off the bench to score the winner for Eintracht Frankfurt against Schalke 04.

Ligue 1

Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Maxwell and Lucas Moura all started Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-2 draw with SM Caen. The latter assisted Ezequiel Lavezzi’s goal, while David Luiz came on as a substitute.

Elsewhere, Rennes midfielder Pedro Henrique was replaced late on as they lost 2-1 at Toulouse.

FA Cup

Philippe Coutinho played 78 minutes in Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Crystal Palace, while Dionatan Teixeira was an unused substitute for Stoke City’s 4-1 loss at Blackburn Rovers.
