Milan-owned forward Robinho has outlined his desire to extend his stay at Santos.

The 30 year-old, who scored four goals in 16 appearances last term, rejoined the Santástico on loan in August 2014 and is due to remain with them until the end of June.

Despite still having a reasonable amount of time left on that agreement, Robinho is eager to secure a renewed arrangement.

“I want to stay here and the club wants the same thing,” he said, according to MilanNews.it, as cited by Football Italia.

“The directors have discussed this with my father and understand my desires perfectly.”

It has been suggested that Milan have received two bids from Santos – a loan and permanent transfer – but are holding out for a more substantial offer, while Robinho’s agent Marisa Alija Ramos has told Lancenet that talks are ongoing.

“We are looking for a solution that will satisfy everyone, ourselves and the two clubs,” stated the representative, as reported by MilanNews.it and Football Italia.

Robinho is now in his third spell at Santos. He initially broke through them in 2002 and was part of a side that won the 2002 and 2004 Brasileirão titles. His role in those successes earned him a switch to Real Madrid for a reported fee of €24 million in August 2005 and he would move on to Manchester City for around €43 million in September 2008.

His time in England was however, indifferent and in January 2010 he returned to Santos on loan and helped them win the Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Paulista, before being sold on to Milan by City.
