Hernanes is confident Internazionale “will prove its worth” in their next four matches.

The Nerazzurri face Atalanta at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia on Sunday, before travelling to Glasgow to meet Celtic in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 32 tie.

Roberto Mancini’s side are then away to Cagliari, ahead of their second leg against Celtic at San Siro.

With Inter ending a run of three consecutive defeats in all competitions with a 3-0 over Palermo, it seems that they may be beginning to come together under Mancini, ahead of this busy schedule.

For Hernanes, the next four games will be decisive in proving that Inter are stabilising and the midfielder is particularly keen to progress in Europe.

“This is the moment of truth and we can’t afford any more mistakes,” he said, as reported by website Football Italia.

“In these four games the team will prove its worth. There are seven ‘finals’ for the Europa League and it is a journey we can complete.

“The team is concentrated and confident going into this challenge.”

Hernanes has had a mixed time at Inter since arriving from Lazio for a reported fee of €18 million in January 2014. The 29 year-old has scored just four times in 35 appearances for the club, while this season he’s only managed nine starts in Serie A.
