The 29-year-old had sprained the lateral collateral ligament in his left ankle two days before the Bundesliga restarted late last month after the winter break. Bayern take on Hamburg at the Allianz Arena this Saturday and were paired with Shakhtar Donetsk in the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League.
