Defender Dória has questioned Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa during his unveiling press conference at São Paulo.

The 20 year-old, who was signed by l’OM from Botafogo for a reported fee of €5 million in September 2014, has joined São Paulo on loan until June, after seemingly being frozen out by Bielsa.

During his time with Marseille, Dória failed to make an appearance for the club, with reports suggesting he had been signed without Bielsa’s consent.

That notion was backed up by Dória, who outlined his frustration at being sidelined by the Argentinian tactician.

“Sometimes I came in from training with my head down,” he said, as reported by website Get French Football News. “I was said to only play for Marseille’s reserves.

“The fans, the President (Vincent Labrune) and several players asked that I play with the first team. I began to ask myself if I still knew how to play football… Marcelo Bielsa was against the fact that he had not be consulted about my transfer.

“I think it was an off the field problem between the president and the manager. The coach therefore proved that he didn’t really need me. He did not talk to me anyway. I only every spoke with his staff. He even went so far as to field players in my position who did not play there. So, I don’t want to talk about him…”

Dória will hope to get his career back on track with São Paulo. The Brazil international – capped once – will compete with the likes of Antônio Carlos, Edson Silva, Breno and Rafael Tolói for a starting berth.
