Dória is yet to make his senior début for French club Marseille since his move from Botafogo last summer.
According to Paulo Vinícius Coelho of ESPN Brasil, São Paulo will sign Brazil Olympic team captain Dória from Marseille for eight months, until the end of this year’s Copa Libertadores. It was earlier reported in France that the player had agreed a deal with São Paulo on transfer deadline day but Marseille president didn’t approve the deal because their priority was to keep him in Europe itself. Coach Muricy Ramalho was keen on a young left-footed central-defender this year and Dória fits the club’s profile. He was also subject to interest from Lorient and Monaco in France, and Sampdoria in Italy.
