There were reports in England claiming the Brazilian winger would arrive in London for a medical with Chelsea, but Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin was surprised with those rumors. He also confirmed before the end of the transfer window that negotiations with Chelsea over Douglas Costa won’t go forward. He told: “I don’t know from where rumors like Costa is in London having a medical with Chelsea came… He’s in Spain with Shakhtar for a training camp. Same goes to all talks of Luiz Adriano. Both players are preparing for the match against Bayern and the second half of Ukrainian Championship.”
