Former Santos captain Cícero is on his way to Qatar from Brazil.
Cícero was subject to interest from Fluminense’s rivals Flamengo but a move didn’t materialize. According to the information from Globo Esporte, Al-Gharafa made a loan proposal to have Cícero for a period of 18 months and he should complete his move if contractual terms are agreed and a medical is approved. He has a contract at Fluminense until 2018 and his image-rights salary is delayed. Cícero wasn’t included in the club’s squad that traveled to Volta Redonda for their opening state league match against Friburguense.
