Former Cruzeiro midfielder Everton Ribeiro turned down interest from Arsenal and Manchester United to sign for Al Ahli Club, according to reports.
The National claims that the 25 year-old Brazil international was a possible target for the two English Premier League sides, but has instead preferred to make the switch to the United Arab Emirates.
Al Ahli Club are reported to have paid around €9 million for Everton and he will play alongside fellow Brazilian Grafite, as well as former Liverpool midfielder Oussama Assaidi.
