Cruzeiro gave permission for Éverton to complete his transfer to new club Al-Ahli.
Cruzeiro released star player Éverton Ribeiro and he traveled to London on Monday, so that he can undergo medical examinations and finalize the move to the Arab club. Cruzeiro had rejected the initial offer of €7 million from Al-Ahli for 60% of the player"s economic-rights but it was rejected. An improved offer of €9m was then accepted after Éverton made it clear he wants to leave. The player spoke exclusively to Globo Esporte where he revealed his sadness of leaving Cruzeiro and insisted that he will follow the club and cheer for them. He told: “I am happy to have played an important part of my career [at Cruzeiro] but a little sad to leave the Cruzeiro family. I have great affection for Cruzeiro. I thank you all."
