Brazil have managed to recover from their defeat to Uruguay and ran away with all 3 points against Venezuela.
Although the 2-0 score looks pretty convincing, it doesn’t tell the whole story as Brazil’s display wasn’t much better from their previous game. Alexandre Gallo made many changes to the starting XI with João Pedro, Nathan Cardoso, Lucas Evangelista, Gabriel and Malcom replacing Auro, Marlon, Nathan Allan, Kenedy and Thalles. The introduction of Kenedy in the second-half proved decisive as he hit a powerful shot from outside the box to open the scoring. Santos full-back Cajú combined with Lucas Evangelista on the left and the Udinese man found Gabriel in the box who made no mistake in finding the net from close range. Brazil are in 2nd place in their group below Uruguay and will face Colombia in the next game on Friday.
