Brazilian champions Cruzeiro seems to be the front runners for the 20-year-old Uruguayan as they take advantage of Internacional’s delay.
According to Superesportes MG, Cruzeiro started their pursuit of De Arrascaeta after they sold Ricardo Goulart to Guangzhou Evergrande. Cruzeiro decided to meet face-to-face with the man responsible for taking care of the player’s economic-rights, Daniel Fonseca. Club representative Valdir Barbosa is in Uruguay along with agent André Cury and have offered €4 million for 50% economic-rights of De Arrascaeta. Cruzeiro supervisor Benecy Queiroz has expressed optimism when asked about a deal. Fernando Otto, who worked to take the player to Internacional claims Daniel Fonseca told him on Saturday that Inter have time until Monday to set the documents.
