Young Brazilian midfielder Casemiro scored a wonderful goal at the weekend to continue his great start to the season.

The 22 year old joined FC Porto on loan from Real Madrid in July and has receieved constant praise in Portugal. He believes 2015 can only get better.

“I just have to thank God for everything that happened in my career last year. It was a year of much learning and growth. Is now have to work even harder in 2015 to be a year that as good or better than 2014. I am happy I have already started in the best possible way, with a great victory.”

Casemiro picked up a Champions League winners medal last year but played only a minor role in Real Madrid’s victory. Since the summer he has received much more playing time and has built a reputation for his crunching tackles in the defensive midfield position.

Casemiro’s goal at the weekend was clocked at 102 km/h and helped Porto to a 5-1 win away at Gil Vicente.
