Botafogo will have to find another “Minister of football.” Indeed, Carlos Alberto Torres, world champion with the Selecao in 1970, decided to leave his positions in the carioca club. A decision following recurring disagreements with the new leadership installed last month, leading to its shelving.
“I helped when they needed me. Election of the Chairman, Technical Committee and selection of some players since I have not been asked so I think I did what I could,” he said to GloboEsporte.
Longtime collaborator, he was named “Minister of football.” A position allowing it to participate in the technical committee but also in search of foreign investors.

Botafogo will have to find another “Minister of football.” Indeed, Carlos Alberto Torres, world champion with the Selecao in 1970, decided to leave his position at the carioca club.

The decision was taken following recurring disagreements with the new board that got on board  last month.

“I helped when they needed me. Election of the Chairman, Technical Committee and selection of some players since I have not been asked so I think I did what I could,” Carlos Alberto said to GloboEsporte.
