Robinho has revealed that he met Santos president Modesto Roma to discuss his future and hopes to stay at the Vila Belmiro club.

Robinho says he will have another meeting with the president which should seal his future at the club. He is in the sights of Orlando City who wants him to star alongside Kaká next year in the MLS. Robinho told SporTV: “I had an initial conversation with Santos president and the interest of both of us is to stay. We know that the club is going through a very difficult financial situation. We will have another meeting in early January, and it goes very, very well because I can stay Santos.”

Although Robinho’s desire is to stay at Santos, he refused to completely rule out a move to the United States.
