A number of Brazilians proved decisive for their respective teams around Europe with Lima and Roberto Firmino both scoring.
Germany
There was a thrilling match in Germany on Friday night as Hoffeinheim overcame Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2. The match appeared to be heading for a draw before Roberto Firmino scored three minute from time. Firmino now has four goals in five games.
France
Reims picked up their first points in three games as Diego inspired them to a 3-2 win over Evian. The Brazilian midfielder scored two goals as the home team came back from 2-1 down with 10 minutes remaining.
Portugal
Lima was the toast of Lisbon on Sunday as Benfica beat FC Porto 2-0 away from home. The 31 year old Brazilian striker scored both goals and Benfica are now six points ahead of their rivals at the top of the table.
S.C. Braga also picked up a hard earned three points with a 1-0 win over Belenenses. The victory came courtesy of defender Aderlan Santos who scored 30 minutes into the match.
