Vasco da Gama have appointed Marquinhos Santos as their new head coach after a week of intense searching.
Vascos were looking for a young coach with experience and Marquinhos fits the bill after previously working in the Brasileirão.
The 35 year old has had two spells at Coritiba and was also in charge at Bahia during the first half of this season. At the start of his coaching career he forged a great reputation for developing youth players after coaching the Brazil Under-15 team.
Vascos are looking to hit the ground running in Série A following their promotion from Série B.
