Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on his fomer player Maxwell on the eve of the massive match between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Guardiola managed Barcelona when Maxwell still played for the Catalan club and he had nothing but good things to say about the Brazilian defender.
“He is attentive to the guidelines, disciplined, hardworking and ambitious in the game. He always gave his best for the team.”

Maxwell moved to PSG in 2012 and will relish the big Champions League clash against his former team on Wednesday night.

In a game which is packed with star players Maxwell is often overlooked, but Guardiola stated that he is exactly the type of player every team needs.
“Maxwell had a collectivism in every moment that I judge invaluable. He deserves the utmost respect.”
