French striker Thierry Henry has praised the impact Brazilian strikers have had on the centre forward position.

Speaking to American magazine, The Blizzard, Henry was asked about his football idols and there were three main players that he didn’t take long to think of.

“Ronaldo did things we had never seen before. He, Romario and Weah (the Liberian striker) have reinvented the centre forward position. They were the first to emerge from the surface to get the ball in midfield, to move to the sides, to attract and confuse defenders with their movements, accelerations and dribbles. Who had done this before? Gerd Müller? Paolo Rossi? No.”
