Paolo Guerrero is at the heart of a battle between a number of clubs for his coveted signature.
The 30 year old striker from Peru turned down an offer from Corinthians on Friday and it seems he is now set to leave. However president Mario Gobbi Filho is still trying to secure his signature in a desperate attempt to keep the club’s star player.
Al-Ahli FC also offered the player a contract but it seems as if Guerrero has his heart set on Europe. Inter Milan and Sampdoria have already expressed an interest.
Guerrero’s contract finishes in July 2015. He has already stated he will not renew it. Guerrero has asked for a three year contract while at the present time Corinthians are only offering an 18 month contract.
