Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva believes that fight and commitment will see the Reds get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were held to a 2-2 draw with Ludogorets in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, meaning that they now need to beat Basel at home in the final round of fixtures to secure a place in the knockout stages.

The draw was Liverpool’s fifth game without a win, and the Brazilian admitted that the performance was far from a vintage one in Bulgaria.

Lucas tweeted: ‘Not the best performance but fighting and commitment will help the team to get back on the winning ways. Thanks for your messages. YNWA’.

Liverpool host Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
