Wellington Silva has claimed that he will make the grade at Arsenal – despite the host of big-name strikers ahead of the Brazilian.

The 21-year-old was signed by Arsene Wenger back in 2011, and has had a whole host of loan moves since, and the youngster is currently on a short-term stay with La Liga side Almeria.

Despite seeing the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud ahead of him in the pecking order, Silva believes that he will take his chance at the Emirates when it finally comes.

He told Globoesporte: ‘They have bought great players and the squad is very good, but I am calm because I know where I can get to.

‘I am not afriad of [competing with] the big names, I know that if I work hard and things go well I wil be able to play [at Arsenal]."
