Bayern Munich defender Dante has claimed that Pep Guardiola has taken the club to a ‘new level’ since taking over from Jupp Heynckes.
Heynckes led the German side to the Treble in 2013 before leaving, and Guardiola clinched the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal in his first season.
Goal.com quotes Dante as saying: ‘Is this the best Bayern side? It is hard to say. We won everything we could win in 2013 and did a great job, but we have grown even more under the command of Pep.
‘He has led the team to a new level. This may be the start of a new era for Bayern and we are much more flexible now.
‘But football can be brutal and we have so many players out injured right now, like Philipp Lahm, Thiago Alcantara, Javi Martinez, and it is the titles at the end that prove that you are the best.’
