Atletico Madrid defender Miranda is hoping for a short-term injury lay-off after he pulled out of Brazil"s 2-1 win over Austria on Tuesday.
The Selecao centre-back, who had been an ever-present under Dunga after the coach took over following the World Cup, was withdrawn with a thigh problem as the national side overcame the European nation in Vienna.
Speaking to SporTV after the game, Miranda said: ‘I felt a twinge in my left thigh, and I need to do tests to see what actually happened.
‘I ask God for it to be nothing serious and I think I need two or three weeks of recuperation."
The Los Rojiblancos star also stated that he saw no problems with Thiago Silva"s unhappiness with losing the captaincy to Neymar and his place in the side in the heart of Brazil"s defence.
‘I saw Thiago"s statements as normal," he added. ‘In the national team, no one is guaranteed a place. The group has a whole have to [make an impression] to start playing."
