Hoffenheim playmaker Roberto Firmino has revealed that his dream had come true after he scored the winning goal for Brazil against Austria on Tuesday.
David Luiz opened the scoring after the hour mark before Aleksandar Dragovic equalised from the penalty spot.
However, Firmino struck a late winner to make it six straight victories for a re-energised Selecao side, and the attacking midfielder was delighted to have played a starring role.
He told Globoesporte: ‘This [shirt] will go in a frame, it will stay with me for the rest of my life.
‘It"s always good to hear [positive things] from Dunga. Of course I scored the goal but the whole team has to be congratulated.
‘Playing for the national team is a dream and it is an amazing group. I am happy to have scored the winning goal."
