AC Milan forward Robinho has revealed that he wants to remain with Santos beyond his loan spell.

The Italian giants are reportedly still paying around 40% of the ex-Real Madrid star"s salary in Brazil, and while he admits his future is not entirely in his own hands, Robinho has said that he wants to stay in his homeland.

‘My desire is to stay here [at Santos] for a long time," Robinho explained to Globoesporte.

‘I hope to stay here for many more years, because I want to continue to bring joy to the fans. I hope I get my wish, but I don’t know how it will end.

‘Milan hold my contract, so it’s not entirely up to me, but I’ll do everything I can to stay here."
