Brazil defender Thiago Silva has admitted that he is ‘upset" about losing the captaincy to Neymar.

The Paris Saint-German star was stripped of the armband by Dunga upon the coach"s appointment after the World Cup, with Barcelona forward Neymar taking over the skipper"s duties.

However, Silva has revealed that he was far from happy about having the captaincy taken off him.

He told Esporte: ‘It feels like I lost something that belonged to me. I am sorry, but if I say I was happy, I would not be telling the truth.

‘[Neymar] did not come to me and I have had no conversations with anyone and that is what makes me upset. My motivation is very high and my goals have not been achieved.

‘This is not news that will shake me."
