Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho has hinted that he may leave the club when the January transfer window opens.

The Brazil international became Spurs" club-record signing when they paid Corinthians around £17m for the 26-year-old back in the summer of 2013.

However, Paulinho has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane, with youth academy graduate Ryan Mason preferred ahead of him by new boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Paulinho has even struggled to earn a place in Pochettino"s much-changed lineups when they play in the Europa League, and he has suggested that he may be forced to move to gain more playing time.

Speaking to Globo, Paulinho said: ‘There are Brazilian clubs [showing an interest] but nothing is concrete yet. I have always been sincere, the player wants to play.

‘I"m glad to have recongition and I feel proud that Tottenham paid a lot of money for me, and I do not think about a transfer, but any player is open for transfer in January."
