FC Porto midfielder Casemiro has challenegd the squad to finish the Champions League group stages with a flourish by topping Group H.
The Portuguese side booked their place in the last 16 on Wednesday night with a 2-0 win against Athletic Bilbao and the on-loan Real Madrid midfelder wants to finish above Shakhtar Donetsk.
Casemiro said: ‘We have achieved our first goal which was to qualify. Now we have to fight for our place at the top.
‘If we can finish strongly then that is key as it makes it less complicated [in the knockout stages].
‘We will also gain a lot of confidence for the next phase if we work for it [and finish top]."
Porto"s last two games are against Shakhtar and BATE Borisov.
