Brazilian midfielder Cristian Baroni is seemingly set for a return to Corinthians, according to reports.
Website Turkish-Football claims that the 31 year-old has agreed to rejoin the Timão on a free transfer and will earn around €1.5 million per season.
Cristian originally left Corinthians to join Fenerbahçe in July 2009 for a reported fee of €7 million, but after five seasons in Turkey, he was released in August and has been without a club since.
Cristian’s first spell at Corinthians was fairly short lived. The Belo Horizonte native was with the São Paulo-based club for just under a year, though still managed to win three major titles, including the 2008 Brasileirão Série B and 2009 Copa do Brasil.
Cristian’s time at Fenerbahçe was equally impressive. He made 200 appearances for the Kanaryalar and was part of a team that lifted six major honours.
