Juventus are set to step up their interest in Cruzeiro midfielder Everton Ribeiro, according to reports.
Sky Sport Italia claims that Bianconeri officials will meet with the Brazilian’s agent Robson Ferreira over the coming days, ahead of a possible January bid.
Everton Ribeiro has been one of the catalysts behind Cruzeiro’s domestic dominance over the past two seasons.
The 25 year-old has scored eleven goals and provided 21 assists in the Brasileirão since the start of the 2013 campaign and was rewarded for his good form with a call up to the Brazil national team for the recent friendlies against Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Japan.
With Juventus having money left over from their summer transfer dealings and Head Coach Massimiliano Allegri eager to add another forward-thinking player, a January move seems likely, though whether they can tempt Cruzeiro into selling remains to be seen.
