Brazil Olympic Head Coach Alexandre Gallo has hinted that he will call up Barcelona forward Neymar for the 2016 games.

The 22 year-old was a key part of the squad that represented the Seleção at London 2012 and though there is likely to be opposition from Barça, Gallo believes Neymar is too important to leave out.

"I would use the three [overage] players, or rather two. One of them is Neymar," he said, as reported by AS.

"Although it’s difficult to mention names, he is important in this national team.

"Just as it’s hard to think of Argentina in the Olympics without [Lionel] Messi or Portugal without Cristiano [Ronaldo], they are players that are a level above.

"Neymar is a reference for the team and will help a lot."
