Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has backed the squad to cope with the increased fixture list ahead of a huge week for the Reds.

Despite the injury to talisman Daniel Sturridge, the Brazil midfielder thinks that they are fully equipped to deal with the big games.
Lucas told Esporte Interativo: ‘Liverpool is a very big club and we must always think big. For sure we have a great team, and the board have hired reinforcements, which will help us a lot.
‘The squad is full of good options and we can compete for titles this season. We need to pay attention [to Real Madrid] and we need to keep a clean sheet to get a great result."
