Internazionale have closed in on a European spot in Serie A after a 1-0 victory over Sampdoria, with Brazilian Dodô playing a key part.
The 22 year old left back, who is on loan to the Nerazzurri from rivals Roma, has played in all nine league games this season for Inter and has been a key player for Walter Mazzarri’s men.
Despite dominating much of the game against Sampdoria it had looked like Inter were going to be left frustrated, but a last minute penalty from striker Mauro Icardi sealed the points to the relief of the home crowd, and Dodô, who has three assists to his name already this season stressed the importance of victory, as reported by futpress.com:
“It was a very important victory and our second in a row in the competition, which had not yet happened this season and it gives us confidence. We were against a tough opponent that has been doing a good job in the championship.”
With Sampdoria sitting in fourth place it was hard to disagree with Dodô, who will be hoping to secure win number five for Inter this season as they travel to bottom side Parma on Saturday.
