FIFA President Sepp Blatter has claimed that Russia’s preparations for hosting the 2018 World Cup are “ahead of schedule.”
The 78 year-old, who was speaking at a press conference, suggests that Russia’s organisation compares favourable with Brazil’s preparations for hosting the 2014 tournament.
“I can say that in comparison with Brazil, Russia is considerably ahead of schedule with four years remaining before the event’s start,” he said, as reported by Sky Sports.
“FIFA unconditionally supports the staging of the World Cup by Russia.”
