Milan defender Alex has admitted that he misses living in Paris.

The 32 year-old former Brazil international left Paris Saint-Germain to join Milan in the summer and despite insisting he was eager to make the switch, he concedes that it was hard to leave France.

“I miss Paris, it’s a wonderful city,” he told Canal Plus. “I’ve already been back once, because I have several friends there.

“I wanted to extend my PSG contract by a year, but I don’t think there was the same willingness from the Parisian club.

“We talked about it for a week and then for a long time there was no more news. It was a very difficult situation for me.

“When I had the opportunity to come to Milan, I did not think twice.”
