Diego Tardelli has revealed how he has turned his career around after admitting that fame and fortune came too early for him.
Th striker scored both goals as Brazil overcame their fierce South American rivals Argentina in China earlier this month, and the 29-year-old explained how maturity has helped him prosper.
He told Globo: ‘Things happened too fast for me. I started winning [accolades] and things folded. I gained cars, new friends and I was lacking in training. It was irresponsible.
‘It was nice that it happened early enough for me to recover though. My wife has always been focused and she gave me an earful! But I wanted to change and makes things right. Now I have responsbility."
