São Paulo loanee Kaká is confident he can help Brazil over the immediate future.

The 32 year-old, who is owned by new Major League Soccer franchise Orlando City, was recalled for the friendlies against Argentina and Japan earlier this month.

With Head Coach Dunga looking to rebuild the squad ahead of next summer’s Copa América and then look towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Kaká is unlikely to be a long-term solution. The former Milan play-maker believes, however, that he can still play a part over the short-term.

“Surely I am not going to be the name who leads the national team into a new era, but in the short term I think I can add a lot,” he told Sportv.

“There are some very good new players emerging in the team and what I can bring,

beyond my technical and tactical help on the field, is all my years of experience in the national team.”
